Cam Scott is the top player in South Carolina for the 2024 recruiting class. The 6’5″ wing has been a major priority for South Carolina basketball since he was a freshman and Frank Martin was the headman for the Gamecocks. The importance of Scott’s recruitment was passed on to Lamont Paris when he got the job, and Paris’ staff is pushing for Scott heavily.
Scott is listed as either a 4-star or 5-star prospect depending on which recruiting service one checks, and he is a consensus top-50 player nationally. He is a big-time shot-maker who makes difficult looks seem easy, and he has the ability to develop into an elite outside shooter, as well.
