Baseball falls in series opener at No.18 Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla. – Texas Baseball dropped the series opener to No. 18 Oklahoma, 9-4, on Friday at L. Dale Mitchell Park. The Longhorns (25-18, 11-8) will look to bounce back and even the series on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Jared Thomas went 3-for-5 with a double, a homer, two RBI and two runs scored, while Jalin Flores was also 3-for-5 with one RBI.

Max Grubbs started and pitched five innings but fell victim to four unearned runs in the loss. He was charged with just one earned run on seven hits with three strikeouts.
